 haha... that would be awesome Flo... and seeing the Lab live would be the best birthday present (hint, Paul :D)

I understand the whole "keeping your fans in suspense" mentality, but I might as well ask anyway Paul. You talked about tweaking this track, was just wondering what sort of changes to this track would you make?

Paul, you continue to impress and keep us on our toes. But you make it difficult for me to answer my friends when they ask what kind of music Black Lab puts out. The best I can come up with is "good music." :)

Got my CD today, too. Rock! Still waiting for the porn that was promised at the SF show in July, though...

sorry 'bout that, fluffy. I, too, would like to make it easier on you in terms of answering the fans. probably, if there was an easy answer, I would be a big, rich (divorced) rock star by now. but my voice does lots of different things and I like to let it. I like different kinds of music -- from trip hop to techno to alt rock to country blues to... I don't know, just music that strikes me as good.

one of the downsides to not being on a major label is that there's no limo driver at the airport with a little sign that says my name. one of the upsides is that I get to make whatever the fuck music I want, and I plan on continuing to exercise this privilege.

as always, thanks for listening.

Yeah, your music has it's own style and personnality, and you're able to play the same song in different ways.
I think that's exactly the reason why I/we love you so much.
You're... unclassable.

I gotta second all of that. I think not being on a major label means you are making the music for yourself more than anyone else, which is the best thing I can see out of everything (and heck, impressing a people and creating some devoted fans along the way dosen't hurt does it?) 8)

It's the "unclassable" element I love the most. Far more exciting that way :D

Sooo true. Each new song is a complete surprise everytime. And I think you're right to go on this way : it's impossible to get tired of your music, it's a guarantee of longevity and of the fidelity of your fans.
Go on surprising us !
